Investiture, Investiture? But now that I know what it is, I totally think you should have one! An investiture ceremony is a time to welcome new girls as well as adults into Girl Scouts. It can be done when a troop is brand new, or when you have new girls or adults joining your existing troop.

Candle lighting ceremony Light candles to represent the promise and law. The new volunteer should make her G. Promise at this time. This pin represents to me a sacred trust, for in my hands are placed the lives of other women's daughters that I might mold and guide them into happy, wholesome paths of service. This pin means to me a chance to serve in the world, my chance to leave it a better place to live in than I found it. This offers me a chance to lead a fourfold life, where love, play, work and worship are equally developed and to help my girls share in the same development.
Celebrate Your Newest Girl Scouts with an Investiture Ceremony
An investiture is the welcoming of new members, both girls and adults, into the Girl Scout family for the first time. Rededication is the opportunity for girls and adults to renew their commitment to the Girl Scout Promise and Law. You can choose to do them as one or two separate pieces.
Ceremonies are a tradition in Girl scouts, and the girls love to put them together. The problem is making it unique each time. Investiture is when we welcome new members into Girl Scouts and it is important to make it different each year.
